Pakistan left-arm seamer Junaid Khan slammed India for denying to visit Pakistan for the upcoming Asia Cup and questioned if the Indian players are aliens from another world.

Junaid Khan said: “The situation in Pakistan is good. If other teams are coming, such as Australia, England, South Africa, and New Zealand, and they have no security problems, then why does India have a problem? What is the reason for this? Are they Aliens from another world who have security problems?

“The ICC should look into these issues; otherwise, cricket without Pakistan is impossible. Pakistan is not a small team; just a few days ago, Pakistan was the world’s number one team and is still among the top three teams,” he added.

Despite BCCI’s reluctance to travel to Pakistan. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) continues to show interest in keeping the tournament at home, with BCCI finding support from other member nations of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), the decision seems a formality at the moment.

After the BCCI refused to travel to Pakistan for the tournament citing lack of clearance from the government, the PCB had proposed a hybrid model to host the Asia Cup where India’s matches alone would be hosted in Dubai.

Sri Lanka is likely to host the upcoming Asia Cup with the (ACC) set to move the tournament from Pakistan. A final decision on the venue for the tournament is expected by the end of this month with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan backing the move to host the event in the island nation.

Pakistan’s participation in the tournament is unclear as of now with reports indicating that it might boycott the event.
