Will take some time to recover: Mamata Banerjee

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee,who joined office at Writers’ Buildings on Wednesday after her recent illness,today said that it would take some time to recover.

Kolkata:Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee,who joined office at Writers’ Buildings on Wednesday after her recent illness,today said that it would take some time to recover. “Therapy is on. I will take some time to recover completely,” Mamata said. She had missed office for nine days after falling ill following the heckling incident in Delhi. The CM,who was in office for a little over four hours on Wednesday,spent five hours today. She was discharged from a private clinic on Saturday.

CM urged to aid treatment of rare genetic disease

Kolkata:An appeal was made to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for government support and subsidy to treat Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSDs) — rare genetic diseases mostly affecting children. The appeal was made by LSD Support Society on Thursday. LSD,found in about one in every 5,000 life births,comprise around 45 rare genetic disorders occurring due to deficiency of specific enzymes in special compartments of body cells. The society urged the government to fund medical care of those affected.
