The UPA government boasts of being a government of the common man but it has snatched onion from his plate,RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad said on Friday.
“No more onion on your plate as its price is Rs 24. Potatoes too cost Rs 20 … To top it,pulse is Rs 100 and mustard oil is Rs 80,” Prasad told a poll meeting at Jarmundi in the district.
“The government which fails to curb price rise is construed as an inefficient government. Wrong policies by the Centre has led to the sky rocketting of the prices,” he said.
He asked the Maoists to accept the offer for talks as ‘guns have never solved any problem’. “Sit across the table and talk, and solve your problems.”
LJP President Ram Vilas Paswan, who campaigned along with Prasad for RJD/LJP/Left candidates in Jharkhand, alleged that former Jharkhand ministers were more concerned with their own wealth than the state’s development.
