Buoyed with the joining of rebel JD(U) leader Prabhunath Singh,RJD president Lalu Prasad said political change in the Bihar after the assembly polls later this year was 'inevitable'.

Buoyed with the joining of rebel JD(U) leader Prabhunath Singh,RJD president Lalu Prasad said political change in the state after the assembly polls later this year was ‘inevitable’.

“It (political change) has now become inevitable … the ineffective Nitish Kumar government is bound to go after the assembly polls later this year,” Prasad told ‘a janata mahapanchayat’,organised by Singh.

Prasad said the RJD would ensure ten per cent reservation for the economically-backward upper caste people in jobs in the event of its coming to power.

“I have taken a lot of lessons from the past … please give us a chance afresh to come upto people’s expectations,” he said.

Prasad promised that in the event of coming to power, the services of teachers and other employees appointed on contract during the Nitish regime would be regularised.

Praising Singh for joining the RJD,he said his services would be used at the time of elections.

“We feel that the RJD has emerged stronger to defeat the communal and fascist forces represented by the NDA,” he said.
