Marriyum Aurangazeb, PML-N leader, said in a post on X that Sharif took notice of the incident and directed the lion to be sent back immediately. Upholding Islam religion and laws related to animals, Aurangazeb stressed abiut the need to respect animal rights.
Aurangazeb’s roughly translated post in Urdu read, “The leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif took strict notice of bringing a real lion in the rally on Muni Road and directed to send this lion back immediately, after which this lion was sent back immediately. Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has strictly instructed that no real tiger or any other animal should be brought in any rally in Pakistan. The religion of Islam and laws related to animals have enjoined us to respect the rights of animals.”
Nawaz led a public rally in the constituency from where he will contest general elections scheduled for February 8. Earlier, in a campaign, Sharif promised to make Pakistan stand on its own feet again, ARY news reported. He further said that he was ousted from power by the five Supreme Court judges just because he refused to take a salary from his son.
