Three cops sustained injuries after a police vehicle lost control and rammed into the police barracks at Belonia in the South Tripura district late Tuesday.
The injured trio has been identified as Baishista Tripura, Anup Chakma, and Hari Kumar Tripura.
Speaking to reporters, a senior official of the state police said the cops were having dinner at the police barracks when a police vehicle lost control and swerved into the building, injuring three cops.
Injured cop Baishsta Tripura said he remembers eating dinner around 10 pm Tuesday when a vehicle rammed into the barracks. He could not confirm who was driving the vehicle.
Fire service personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Belonia sub-divisional hospital, where they are under treatment. Sources said their condition is stable.
Officials said an investigation has been started into the incident.
