Fourteen Bangalore residents were among the 45 victims of the Volvo bus fire near Mahbubnagar in Andhra Pradesh Wednesday early morning. One of the 14 was S Venkatesh Yadav, state president of a Chiranjeevi fans association. He was on his way to Hyderabad to invite relatives and the Telugu film actor to the wedding of his niece.
Yadavs daughter Soundarya said: If anyone told him they were orphans, daddy would tell them they would not be as long as he is alive. He took so many people under his wings. Now,we have become orphans.
Also among the dead were Azmatulla, his wife Jana Begum and their six-year-old physically challenged daughter Ujma Sultana of Bapuji Nagar. Azmatulla worked at a parking lot in a private building. They were to join relatives in Hyderabad, native of Jana Begum, for the long Diwali weekend.
