An almost fully covered Kalki Koechlin wearing a nude coloured Dior gown and accessories arrived at Cannes Film Festival yesterday with husband Anurag Kashyap and filmmaker Mozez Singh for a photocall for their film Gangs of Wasseypur. For the last two days,there was Twitter rumour that Kalki would wear Sabyasachi (she has worn the designer earlier for formal appearances in India). But when I see here,am glad she chose a slinky,fluid gown. Non revealing too,I love the sleeves.
With her hair swept up,Kalki’s otherwise bohemian look gets easily transformed into one of refinement. She looks delighted and delightful,though I can’t imagine her in an ordinary churidar kameez.
Sorry to be a behenji,but my ultimate test of style is a female Indian star looking drop dead gorgeous in a regular salwar or churidar-kameez. That’s one ensemble we have still to see make a smashing debut at Cannes.
