In a relief to Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan,the High Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition filed against him in the alleged dumper purchase scam.
The criminal revision petition,filed by former Samajwadi Party MLA Kishore Samritewas,was dismissed by the division bench of Justice Rakesh Saxena and Justice M A Siddiqui after hearing the governments stand on the issue.
Additional Advocate General Naman Nagrath contended that the complainant has nothing to do with the case and filed this petition just to gain cheap publicity.
Nagrath also said the jurisdiction of this case fell in Rewa and not in Bhopal where the complaint was originally filed.
He pointed out that a division bench of the High Court had earlier dismissed a similar petition on the issue.
The Bench,which had reserved its order on the issue,dismissed the petition against Chouhan and his wife Sadhna.
