The central leadership of the Congress party on Thursday asked Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to defer his Odharpu (consolation) Yatra in Warangal in view of the opposition by the Telangana Rashtra Samiti and a section of Congress MPs.

The Congress high command does not approve of it (yatra in Telangana region). I have told him not to go ahead with the yatra, Law Minister and AICC in charge of party affairs in Andhra Pradesh Veerappa Moily said here on Thursday.

Son of late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy,Jaganmohan is scheduled to start his yatra from Mahbubabad near Warangal from Friday afternoon to meet families of those who had allegedly committed suicide or died of heart attack after his fathers death last September.

Pro-Telangana activists, who are angry with Reddy for his united Andhra stand and his criticisms of Telangana leaders for demanding a separate state, have threatened to disrupt his yatra. TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao has said that he would ensure that Jaganmohan is chased out of Telangana.
