In a fresh case of assault in Australia,two men reported to be Indians were allegedly struck with a beer bottle by two juveniles in Sydney on Sunday.

The attack happened in the morning in Sydneys CBD after the men got into an argument that turned into a fight,New South Wales police said. Police did not reveal the nationality of the victims,but TV channels said they were Indians.The victims,both aged 20,were taken to Sydney Hospital where they were treated for bruises and minor lacerations,before being discharged.

The juveniles,a 16-year-old from Peakhurst and a 17-year-old from Hurstville,were charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others.

They were conditionally bailed to appear in a Childrens Court on July 20. Investigations are on for possible links of the incident to the assault of a bouncer at a nightclub in Goulburn Street on Saturday.
