BARCELONA, May 30: Reigning World Champion Mika Hakkinen led a McLaren one-two from start to finish in the Spanish Grand Prix today to put the pressure back on overall leader Michael Schumacher.

Starting from his fifth successive pole position this year and the 15th of his career, the Finn claimed his second win of the year and 11th of his career.

His British teammate David Coulthard came home second, 6.2 seconds behind him, ahead of Schumacher’s Ferrari. The German stayed top of the standings, six points clear of Hakkinen.

It was McLaren’s first one-two finish of the season and their first since the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim last summer. The result was also a repeat for the first three finishers of last year’s race.
