PUNE, Nov 4: Stree Adhar Kendra has urged the State Government to make an appeal to the Supreme Court against the Bombay High Court verdict in the Jalgaon sex scandal case.

Reacting to the ruling that absolved the main accused Pandit Sapkale of all the charges levelled against him, the organisation said that all the evidence in the case was not presented before the court. In a memorandum to Chief Minister Manohar Joshi, the organisation has urged the government to consult experts to ensure that Sapkale does not harass victims and also to protect the witnesses in the cases.
