Did you know, Sobhita Dhulipala is a fan of blue eye makeup — which she puts on when she’s feeling cool? “When I’m travelling and we are going for a like a music thing — Blue!” quipped the Made in Heaven actor.

In conversation with Vogue Beautyscope, Dhulipala spilled the beans on her well-kept beauty secrets and self care rituals. Talking about how her idea of beauty has evolved, The Night Manager actor shared that what started off as a “wanting to look nice”, has now evolved to a “grounds for play”, whether it be playing characters or moods. Having fun has become a core principle.

Sobhita’s beauty secrets

When it comes to traditional beauty practices, Dhulipala swears by hair oiling. “I used to get really bad migraines but it really helped calm me down,” she added. She mixes a little bit of coconut oil with water, and puts it in a spray bottle and uses it to set her hair and tame the unruly frizz.

What does Sobhita’s morning routine look like? She likes to start off her day by putting ghee on her lips for hydration. “Coconut oil for skin to deal with rashes, dryness and everything,” she said.  Lip balm, liner and kajal are three beauty products she cannot live without. And her ultimate self care ritual would be to “zone out completely from the digital sphere.” She believes in being completely present in the moment.

Bollywood veteran Rekha is one of the many beauty icons she looks up to — someone who is brazen in embracing who she is and very consistent in carrying forward their signature.

While playing the final Buy or Bye segment, Dhulipala shared that star shaped pimple patches are a beauty trend she’s excited to try. Not a  fan of soap brows or overlining her lips, but she’s heavily into blue makeup — be it mascara or eyeshadow, or even glitter lips. However, for those suffering from blush blindness, you’d be sad to note that the Bollywood actor is not a fan of the blush draping technique.
