Congratulations are in order for Swara Bhasker and her politician-husband Fahad Ahmad who welcomed their first baby on Saturday. The couple took to Instagram to share the arrival of their daughter last evening and also revealed her beautiful name.
“A prayer heard, a blessing granted, a song whispered, a mystic truth…our baby girl Raabiyaa was born on September 23, 2023. With grateful and happy hearts, thank you for your love! It’s a whole new world,” the couple wrote, sharing endearing pictures with their newborn daughter.
According to renowned celebrity astrologer, Pandit Jagannath Guruji, the name ‘Raabiyaa’ chosen by Swara and Fahad for their daughter is rich in meaning and significance, with layers of cultural, Islamic, and astrological connotations.
“In Islamic tradition, ‘Raabiyaa’ is a name of Arabic origin, derived from the root word ‘Rabi’, meaning ‘spring’ or ‘blossom’. It symbolises the season of renewal and growth, much like the blooming of flowers during springtime,” Pandit Ji said.
He added that naming their daughter ‘Raabiyaa’ reflects the parents’ hope for her life to be filled with continuous growth, positivity, and flourishing, much like the vibrant and beautiful season of spring.
Astrologically, Pandit Ji shared that the names often hold a vibration that can influence one’s personality and life path. “‘Raabiya’ exudes a sense of optimism and vibrancy, aligning with the Libra zodiac sign, which is known for its radiant and warm qualities. The name carries the potential to inspire confidence, leadership, and a sunny disposition in the child, which are characteristic traits of Leos,” he told indianexpress.com.

Prior to this, Swara had shared a glimpse of her surprise baby shower. “I love surprises! Last week, one of my oldest friends @samar_narayen & the amazing @laks7 and Fahad gave me the sweetest surprise in the form of a baby shower that they managed to plan and execute without me getting even a whiff of it! I was so clueless I arrived in pyjamas! Ok not quite.. but I didn’t catch on till I caught @kaushikmoitra and @priyatnabasu arriving outside and then too I was merely confused!” she wrote.
