And, what better than social media to find such innovative (and sometimes bizarre) hacks that claim to give you desired results in a jiffy? One such trend, going viral on TikTok and Instagram, is the Vaseline lash lift hack which promises to give you fuller and longer lashes without using expensive extensions or even mascara.

Roshni Chopra, who regularly shares interesting beauty, fashion, and décor tips with her followers, tried this viral hack and shared how it works. “Can’t get over how this instantly opens up the eyes and can be worn as a natural no makeup look. Try it! The trick is to use less Vaseline — you don’t need much,” she captioned the post.

To try this trick, Roshni suggested putting Vaseline on a lash curler and gently brushing it over. “Omg! it works. Try it for a natural and lifted look,” she said.

Talking about this hack, makeup artist Pooja Walia, Director, Pooja Walia Studio said, “The Vaseline lash lift hack is a beauty trick involving using the petroleum jelly to achieve the appearance of longer, fuller lashes without needing expensive lash lift treatments or extensions. This method can give your lashes a lifted and curled appearance, making your eyes look brighter and more awake.”

She added that you will need a few simple items to perform this hack: Vaseline, a clean mascara wand, and a spoolie brush. Here are the steps to follow:

*Start by cleaning your face and ensuring your lashes are free of makeup or oil residue.
*Apply a small amount of Vaseline on your fingertip to the top of your eyelids, starting at the base of your lashes.
*Using a clean mascara wand, gently comb your lashes upwards, working from the base to the tips. Repeat this process a few times until you achieve the desired effect.
*Next, use a spoolie brush to comb your lashes upward, gently curling them as you go.
*Let the Vaseline dry for a few minutes, then apply your favourite mascara as usual.

This hack is a quick and easy way to achieve the appearance of longer, fuller lashes without spending much money or time on treatments or extensions, Walia said. “Remember to be gentle when applying and combing your lashes, and use a clean mascara wand and spoolie brush to avoid any potential eye infections,” she added.
