Many people incorporate a variety of foods in their diet to stay in shape and meet their fitness goals. But Shah Rukh Khan doesn’t do that. In fact, in his own words, he eats the same kind of food “all year round”. In a throwback video from blogging site OMH, the Jawan actor revealed his diet routine.
“I eat a very normal diet. I eat twice a day. I don’t eat anything in between. I eat lunch and dinner,” said Shah Rukh, who is fondly called SRK.
He then apprised us that he sticks to a “lot of basic things” in his diet. “I eat a lot of basic things like sprouts, grilled chicken, broccoli, and sometimes a little bit of lentils,” said Shah Rukh.
The actor also added that he is extremely particular about his routine. “I eat this all the time, twice a day. I eat this all year round,” said Shah Rukh.
It goes without saying that he may be mentioning just a few aspects of his diet, and the viewer’s discretion is necessary.
Taking a leaf out of his diet dairy, here’s why it is crucial to stick to a basic diet plan and how it helps you.
While the mentioned diet includes lean protein and nutrient-rich vegetables, it lacks important nutrients found in whole grains, fruits, and dairy products, said Dr Ushakiran Sisodia, registered dietician and clinical nutritionist, Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai.
Considering the busy corporate work profiles of today’s generation, having fixed timings for lunch and dinner and not eating anything in between may not be suitable for everyone. “Moreover, it may encourage overeating during those meals and the individual may lack the energy sustenance required throughout the day. The scientifically established way of eating is to have a diverse range of food groups, divided into small meals, throughout the day. This helps with hunger pangs, avoids overeating, and provides sustainable energy throughout the day,” Dr Sisodia elucidated.

However, before following a diet regimen, Dr Sisodia urged that one should do their own research to find a nutritionally rich and balanced diet, “ideal for your own health needs and goals”. “Remember, what works for one may not suit all,” said Dr Sisodia.
