While waiting for a “summer refresh” at the salon, Mira Kapoor decided to conduct a fun-filled Ask-Me-Anything session on her Instagram Stories, which had her revealing her everyday breakfast choices, favourite pickle, protein consumption, and a lot more.

The mother-of-two, who swears by a simple Ayurveda-oriented lifestyle, shared that she prefers to kickstart her mornings with something warm for breakfast, and strictly avoids raw foods.

As such, when a user asked her, “What is your normal breakfast”, she responded, “Uthappam, sambar, chutney, or moong dal chilla, or sometimes daliya.”

While answering a question about what she eats in a day, she shared her entire meal plan.

“Three regular home-cooked meals. Two fruits in between. One date plus almonds with black tea mid-afternoon,” wrote Mira Kapoor.

She added, “I avoid raw food and I naturally don’t have a sweet tooth. Give me namkeen and I’m a happy girl.”

When another user enquired whether she likes Indian pickles, Mira responded in the affirmative and revealed that her favourite is “gobhi shalgam”. For the unversed, gobhi or cauliflower and shalgam or turnip make for a lip-smacking combination as achaar.

She also shared that as a vegetarian, she needs a supplement to meet her protein needs. “I do need to supplement for that,” she wrote.

This is, however, not the first time that she has spoken about her diet. To recall, Mira had previously opened up about always having a warm breakfast, even when on a holiday.

“As a vegetarian, it’s usually a South Indian meal, and then something to mix it up,” she wrote, while sharing a picture of a platter comprising Za’atar flatbread, a bowl of coconut chia pudding with berries, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, goji berries, and raw honey, along with a plate of idli-sambar and chutney.

“It’s tempting to have all the delicious pastries (when they’re eggless), cereal, chilled fruit and juice. But nothing like a warm breakfast to kickstart your digestion and nourish the spleen,” she mentioned.
