Every now and then, Esha Gupta impresses us with her fashion outings displaying her hourglass figure but there is tonnes of sweat and hard work that goes behind in the gym. Giving us some major fitness inspiration, we spotted Gupta doing a “next level” workout in the gym guided by trainer Saqib Merchant. “Esha Gupta takes her workout to the next level with a dynamic squat routine,” said Saqib.
He also listed the following routine that Gupta was seen doing in the video. “Squats, Jump Squats, Rotational Squats, and 180° Jump Squats. Pushing the boundaries of fitness!” added Saqib.
Squats are a versatile exercise with many benefits. Experts suggest that it is a dynamic strength training exercise that works multiple joints and muscles in the body. “They target various muscles in the lower body, such as the glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, adductors, hip flexors, and calves. Additionally, squats engage the core muscles, and depending on the type of squat, they may also work muscles in the shoulders, arms, chest, and back,” said Spoorthi S, fitness expert, cult.fit.
According to Spoorthi, the movement helps strengthen the core, improve balance and coordination, increase bone density, burn calories as well and reduce the risk of injuries.
“There are many different types of squats, each targeting different muscle groups,” mentioned Spoorthi.
Bodyweight squats: These squats are done without any weights, using only your body weight for resistance.
Barbell squats: These squats are done with a barbell loaded with weights.
Goblet squats: These squats are done with a kettlebell or dumbbell held in front of your chest.
Front squats: These squats are done with a barbell held across the front of your shoulders.
Pistol squats: These squats are done on one leg at a time, with the other leg extended out in front of you.
When doing squats, it is important to use proper form to avoid injuries. “People need to avoid shortcuts and respect their body’s limit,” Spoorthi contended.
This is not the first that Gupta has been seen working out in the gym. Previously too, she was seen weight training in the gym.
Trainer Saqib hailed Gupta’s commitment and shared, “Power, Discipline, Dedication and Energy. @egupta making it look easy!”
