PV Sindhu recently got engaged to Venkata Datta Sai, a Hyderabad-based IT professional and Executive Director at Posidex Technologies. Sharing pictures from the ceremony on Instagram, Sindhu wrote: “When love beckons to you, follow him, for love gives naught but itself.” – Kahlil Gibran — 2024- ♾️ #datsinsync #iykyk.”

From Neha Dhupia to Thinaah Muralitharan, Goh Jin Wei to Ratchanok Intanon, close friends and industry veterans congratulated the ace shuttler on her big day. “Congrats😍❤️” and “Really happy for you 🥳” were seen all over the comment section of her post.

But do you know what PV Sindhu wants in her ideal partner?

Last year, in an episode of The Ranveer Show, Sindhu shared her thoughts on the qualities she would appreciate in her ideal partner. “I need a partner, but it’s destiny. I enjoy my life, I have a small set of friends, and I focus on my career. When love has to come into my life, it will come in its own time.”

“I want a person with a pure heart and a pure soul – someone who is very understanding because, for me, it’s not like I need a rich guy,” she told the host. When Allahabadia prodded whether having an athlete as a partner would be a preference, Sindhu replied by saying that it was not necessary and there would be both “advantages and disadvantages” associated with that.

“There’s a lot of ego involved, but they also understand well where you come from because of their sporting background,” she added.
