Epilepsy is a complex, chronic neurological disorder marked by recurrent seizures, resulting from sudden bursts of electrical activity in the brain. Despite medical advances, those affected often face lapses in diagnosis, treatment, and adherence, primarily due to misconceptions about the disorder. Tragically, epilepsy is still viewed by many as a curse, rather than a medical condition that can be managed. This pervasive stigma has far-reaching consequences, impacting not only patients but also their families and the broader society.
As members of the healthcare community, it is our shared responsibility to elevate awareness and restore dignity to those living with epilepsy, supporting them in leading lives beyond their diagnosis. At Lupin, our commitment extends beyond pharmaceutical solutions; we strive to catalyze holistic outcomes. Recognizing misinformation as a major barrier, we have leveraged the widespread reach of the internet in India to disseminate accurate information through trusted channels.
This year, Lupin collaborated with over 500 neurologists across India, addressing key questions about epilepsy.
