NCP mouthpiece ‘Rashtravadi’ has criticised Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray’s remarks that no Marathi person is fit for the Prime Minister’s post, and termed the statement as a “treachery to Maharashtra”.

“Uddhav’s remarks that not a single Marathi person is competent to become the Prime Minister is a treachery of Maharashtra,” an article in the latest issue of the monthly, penned by a senior NCP functionary from Vidarbha, said.

“Uddhav is a leader of limited capacity,” the article by Kishore Mathankar, titled ‘Kamal Uddhavchya uddhatpanachi’ (Height of Uddhav’s arrogance),said.

“While declaring the Sena poll manifesto,Uddhav said “not a single Marathi person is competent to become the Prime Minister. This statement shows his ignorance and is treason of Maharashtra and an insult of Marathi people,” he said.

“Someone who was desperate a month ago to forge an alliance with NCP is now ridiculing (Sharad) Pawar’s stature,” the article said.
