Security forces today arrested a Lashkar-e-Toiba militant in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district,police said.

Acting on a tip-off,security forces launched a search operation in village Gund-i-Nowrooz and arrested a militant belonging to the LeT.

He was identified as Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh,a resident of Tral Payeen in neighbouring Pulwama district,police said.

A pistol and its seven rounds were recovered from his possession,they said.

Yesterday,security forces arrested two militants in north Kashmir’s Handwara town.
