Heavy rains lashed the city and its surrounding areas disrupting normal life.
Heavy downpour caused flooding of roads leading to traffic jams at several areas in the city,while some low-lying areas were under deep water,officials said.
Rains also lashed a few places in Punjab and Haryana,a MeT official here said.
Sonepat,Ambala,Karnal and a few other places in Haryana received rains,while Mohali and Patiala in Punjab were also lashed by heavy rains.
The mercury dropped by a few notches as a result of the heavy downpour in the region.
