Parliament Monsoon Session Day 11: Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessed multiple disruptions today as Opposition MPs continued protests against the Bihar SIR, demanding a discussion in both the Houses. Further, Rajya Sabha Chair Harivansh and LoP Mallikarjun Kharge exchange heated words over the latter’s press note regarding CISF personnel in the House when Opposition MPs stormed the well of the House. Kharge wrote in his note, “We are astonished and shocked at the manner in which CISF personnel are made to run into the well of the House when the members are exercising their democratic rights of protest”.
