Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his reply to the Motion of Thanks to President’s address in the Lok Sabha, said that “those who walk with the Constitution in their pockets” had “compelled” Muslim women to live a life full of troubles. “By ending instant triple talaq, we have given Muslim women their rights,” Modi said. The Prime Minister also said that some had made it “fashion” to talk about Caste. “For the last 30-35 years, MPs from across parties were demanding constitutional status for the OBC Commission. Those who talk about it now did not remember it then, but we gave constitutional status to the OBC Commission,” Modi added.

Rahul Gandhi’s reply to Motion of Thanks: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi launched scathing attacks at the Modi-led central government on Monday, calling ‘Make in India’ a failure. Gandhi further said that the Indian government has denied that Chinese forces are inside our territory “but for some reason, our Army keeps talking to Chinese about their entry into our territory and Chief of Army Staff has said that the Chinese are inside our territory”. However, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju hit back at Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of speaking lies and using “frivolous language” inside the Parliament.

Budget Session 2025 in Parliament: The Budget session of the Parliament commenced on January 31, with President Droupadi Murmu delivering her inaugural address. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also spoke on Day 1 of the Parliament session, hailing the swift economic growth of the country, policies introduced by the Centre, and focus on ‘nari shakti’. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the Economic Survey 2024-25 on Friday, projecting India’s GDP to grow at a rate of 6.4 percent for FY2025.
