External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “The world must show zero tolerance for terrorism.”
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said the party was “extremely proud” of the country’s armed forces, sought to reiterate that the party stood with the Centre and added that national interest was supreme.
“India has an unflinching National Policy against all forms of terrorism emanating from Pakistan and PoK. We are extremely proud of our Indian Armed Forces who have stuck terror camps in Pakistan and PoK. We applaud their resolute resolve and courage.
“Since the day of the Pahalgam Terror Attack, the Indian National Congress has categorically stood with the Armed Forces and the Government to take any decisive action against cross border terror. National Unity and solidarity is the need of the hour and the Indian National Congress stands with our Armed Forces. Our leaders have shown the path in past, and National Interest is supreme for us” he said.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi also posted on X. “Proud of our Armed Forces. Jai Hind!” said the Congress MP.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also took to social media and hailed the Army. “Jai Hind! Jai Hind ki sena!” he wrote. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister of Food Processing and Industry Chirag Paswan were among other prominent figures to post “Jai Hind” after the strikes.
North East Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari said in a post, “April 22: Modi ko bata dena? May 7: Modi ne bata diya (April 22: Go and tell Modi? May 7: Modi told you)”. He was referring to statements from some Pahalgam attack survivors, who said the militants had told them to “go tell (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi” what they had been through.
Welcoming the strikes undertaken by the Indian armed forces in a joint operation, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi said “I welcome the surgical strikes carried out by our defence forces on terror camps in Pakistan. The Pakistani deep state must be taught a tough lesson so that another Pahalgam never happens again. Pakistan’s terror infrastructure must be completely destroyed. Jai Hind!”

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, in a post in Sanskrit and Hindi, said, “Courage, brilliance and restraint are the soldiers of India. May victory be eternal in them, may Mother India be victorious. Where there is the Army of India, there is courage, brilliance and discipline… Jai Bharat Mata Ki.”
Opposition politicians also hailed the Indian Army.
Shiv Sena UBT Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “You had asked about religion, now suffer your karma ~ Indian Army.” Congress Rajya Sabha MP Imran Pratapgarhi said, “Jai Hind, Hindustan Zindabad.”
Former Bihar deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav also took to X, saying, “Hail India! There should be neither terror nor separatism! We are proud of our brave soldiers and the Indian Army.” His father and RJD chief Lalu Prasad said, “Jai Hind! Jai Hind ki Sena!”
Samajwadi Party MP and National spokesperson Rajeev Rai said “Jai Hind Indian Army. There is news that Indian Army has attacked the hideouts of nine terrorists in Pakistan.”

AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said, “We are proud of the Indian Army and our brave soldiers. 140 crore Indians stand with the Indian Army in this fight against terrorism. The courage of the Indian Army is the faith of every citizen. We are all together – united against terrorism. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat”.
