Goa Home Minister Naik on Thursday dared Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Mutalik to enter the coastal state, saying locals themselves will send him back.

Challenging Naik, who had declared that the right wing group would not be allowed to set up its unit in Goa,Muthalik had said on Wednesday in Belgaum he along with his volunteers would enter the tourist state to protest the pub culture existing there.

Mutalik had said that several political leaders from Goa were in touch with him and SRS would hold public meetings in the Congress-NCP-ruled state.

Reacting to this,Naik said,”Let him come first… when is he coming? People of Goa themselves will drive out such divisive forces,” Naik told reporters in Panaji.

To a question, the Home Minister said based on organisation’s track record in neighbouring Karnataka,Goa can even ban it.

“We will not allow incidents like attack on Mangalore pub to happen here.” Goa is a peaceful state and government will not allow anyone to spoil it,he said.

Sene activists had barged into a pub at Mangalore on January 24 and attacked women and others in an act of moral policing against pub culture, triggering protests.
