Sonia to have final say on Cong-TMC alliance: Pranab

Congress President Sonia Gandhi would take the final decision on the alliance with Trinamool Congress in West Bengal for the Lok Sabha elections,External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said in Berhampore on Monday.

The points of discussion with Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee would be sent to Sonia Gandhi who would take the final decision, Mukherjee said in Berhampore.

The report to Gandhi would be sent soon,he said.

Last night,Congress and Trinamool Congress agreed to an alliance to fight the Left Front in the state.

The agreement came after Mukherjee,who is the WBPCC president and AICC General Secretary in charge of West Bengal,K Keshava Rao met the Trinamool Congress chief here.
