Police asked to ‘guard’ lovers on V-Day in UP

With the ‘guardians of culture’ on self-imposed duty on the Valentine’s Day,police force in Uttar Pradesh is directed to make sure that the day will pass on without any act of moral policing.

DGP Vikram Singh directed district police chiefs and senior officers to remain alert on February 14 to avoid any untoward incident.

In the past occasions,some organisations and unscrupulous elements had created law and order problem on the Day.

Singh asked the force to identify hotels,malls and other meeting points of lovers to protect them against hooliganism.
