A teenaged girl was raped and her brother stabbed by her attacker in Matiyala village in Uttar Pradesh,police sources said today.
The 15-year-old girl studying in class eight was on way to school about 10.30 AM yesterday when a local youth Kanhiya forcibly took her to his house,the sources said.
After raping her,he put the girl inside a big box and locked his house from outside,the sources said.
When the brother of the victim inquired about her whereabouts,a villager claimed that one Kanhiya of the village raped his sister.
On the brother confronting him,the sources said,Kanhiya allegedly stabbed the brother and fled away.
Later police broke into the house and found the victim in an unconscious state inside the box.
She was rushed to hospital where the rape was medically confirmed,they added.
Police has registered a case of kidnapping and rape against Kanhiya.
