Govt bracing up to deal with poor monsoon rains: Bhupinder Singh Hooda

The adequate arrangement of power has been been made for agriculture use, he said, adding “We are prepared to deal with the situation.”
Hooda said the state government is providing eight hours of electricity for the tubewells consumers in the State.

When asked to comment on the implementation of recommendations of the Swaminathan Committee, Hooda said being the chairman of the working group of Chief Ministers constituted by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he had raised his voice in the interest of farmers and would continue to do so in future also.

The Committee ensures at least 50 per cent profit to the farmers over and above the cost of production.
