The main Opposition party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP),on Saturday slammed the ruling UPA government, even as it expressed satisfaction over its conduct in the Monsoon Session of Parliament.

A joint press conference was held in this regard by Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Leaders of Opposition Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley in the BJP headquarters on Saturday.

The BJP leaders alleged that the government tried to pass several bills in a hurry, even as it was not in control of the situation at present. They also attacked the government for giving no answer on missing files related to the coal blocks allocation case.

Hitting out at the UPA over its attitude,Jaitley said that the government had made coalgate a “soap opera”.

Claiming that the nation had lost the confidence in the UPA government,Jailtey told mediapersons that the UPA was a government without credibility.

Adding to the attack,Sushma Swaraj said that the Opposition was responsible for the passage of important bills like food security and land acquisition. She,however, added that the BJP also wanted Telangana bill to be passed in the Monsoon Session but the government did not let it happen.
