Congress on Saturday said teams of election strategist Prashant Kishore will be touring Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Allahabad divisions later this month as part of its preparations for 2017 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.
‘Team PK’ consisting of eight members each will hold extensive tours of districts in these divisions from April 26 to May 3 after meeting leaders and workers of different cells and departments of Congress in UP, a party release issued in Lucknow said.

During these tours, the members of the teams will stay in each district for two days and interact with office bearers of the district Congress committees, leaders of frontal organisations, blocks, cells and divisions, it said, adding they will also be visiting the residences of sitting and former peoples’ representatives.
The release said the team will complete touring all the divisions of the state in May.
