Central Railway announces 15-day mega block; several trains to be affected – check details

Mumbai Central Railway Mega Block News

From September 27 (Saturday) to September 30 (Tuesday), a traffic block will be imposed daily between 11:20 hrs and 16:20 hrs on the Up and Down Panvel line. The block will affect train operations in the section between Nagnath Cabin and Karjat Platforms 2 & 3, as well as between Karjat Platform 3 and Chok station.

Mumbai Local Trains: No Services During Block Period

During the block period, no local train services will on Up and Down line, will be available between Karjat and Khopoli.

Repercussions on Train running on 27.09.2025 (Saturday), 28.09.2025 (Sunday) and 29.09.2025 (Monday)

Cancellation of Down Suburban trains

• Karjat-Khopoli locals departing Karjat at 12.00 hrs, 13.15 hrs and 15.39 hrs will be cancelled.

Cancellation of Up Suburban trains

• Khopoli-Karjat locals departing Khopoli at 11.20 hrs, 12.40 hrs and 14.55 hrs will be cancelled

Short Termination of Suburban trains

• CSMT-Khopoli local departing CSMT at 12.20 hrs will be short terminated at Karjat

Short Origination of Suburban trains

• Khopoli-CSMT local scheduled to depart Khopoli at 13.48 hrs will be short originate from Karjat

Diversion of Mail & Express train on 28.09.2025 (Sunday)

• Train no 22194 Gwalior-Daund Express will be diverted via Kalyan-Karjat and will halt at Kalyan for passengers scheduled to board from Panvel.

Repercussions on Train running on 30.09.2025 (Tuesday)

Cancellation of Down Suburban trains

• Karjat-Khopoli locals departing Karjat at 12.00 hrs & 13.15 hrs will be cancelled.

Cancellation of Up Suburban trains

• Khopoli-Karjat locals departing Khopoli at 11.20 hrs & 12.40 hrs will be cancelled

Rescheduling of Mail & Express train on 30.09.2025 (Tuesday)

• Train no 11014 Coimbatore-LTT Express Journey Commencing(JCO) on 29.09.2025 will be rescheduled to depart Coimbatore at 12.50 hrs instead of its scheduled time 08.50 hrs
• Train no 12164 Chennai-LTT Express Journey Commencing(JCO) on 29.09.2025 will be rescheduled to depart Chennai at 21.25 hrs instead of its scheduled time 18.25 hrs
• Train no 12263 Pune-Hazrat Nizamuddin Duronto Express Journey Commencing(JCO) on 30.09.2025 will be rescheduled to depart Pune at 15.10 hrs instead of its scheduled time 11.10 hrs

“Details of repercussions of further blocks and train running from 01.10.2025 to 10.10.2025 due to the same will be shared sunsequently. These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused,” Dr. Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer, Central Railway said in a statement.
