Central Railway announces 15-day mega block; several trains to be affected – check details

Central Railway Mega Block News: Central Railway (CR) has announced special traffic and power blocks for 15 days starting September 26 to carry out scheduled maintenance work.

Central Railway Mega Block: Central Railway (CR) has announced special traffic and power blocks for 15 days starting September 26 to carry out scheduled maintenance work. As part of the plan, Pre Non-Interlocking (PNI) works will be undertaken at Karjat station in connection with the yard remodelling project. Due to this, services of several Mumbai local and long-distance trains will be affected.

Mumbai Central Railway Mega Block News

From September 27 (Saturday) to September 30 (Tuesday), a traffic block will be imposed daily between 11:20 hrs and 16:20 hrs on the Up and Down Panvel line. The block will affect train operations in the section between Nagnath Cabin and Karjat Platforms 2 & 3, as well as between Karjat Platform 3 and Chok station.

Mumbai Local Trains: No Services During Block Period

During the block period, no local train services will on Up and Down line, will be available between Karjat and Khopoli.

“Details of repercussions of further blocks and train running from 01.10.2025 to 10.10.2025 due to the same will be shared sunsequently. These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused,” Dr. Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer, Central Railway said in a statement.
