Bihar to get 4 more Amrit Bharat Express trains

On Thursday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that four new Amrit Bharat Express trains will commence their journey from Bihar soon. These new trains will run from: Gaya to Delhi, Saharsa to Amritsar, Chhapra to Delhi, and Muzaffarpur to Hyderabad.

Total number of Amrit Bharat trains in Bihar

Currently, there are nine Amrit Bharat trains operational across the vast network. Of these, eight Amrit Bharat trains are originating or passing from Bihar. These are: Darbhanga–Anand Vihar Terminal, Saharsa–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Rajendranagar Terminal –New Delhi, Bapudham Motihari–Anand Vihar Terminal, Darbhanga–Gomtinagar, Malda Town–Gomtinagar, Sitamarhi–Delhi and Gaya-Delhi.

Amrit Bharat train features

The Amrit Bharat trains come equipped with a range of upgraded features, including: semi-automatic couplers, modular toilets with new type of construction materials, strong pillar and partition, emergency talk back features, EP assisted brake system, newly designed seats and berths, pantry car in new design, continuous lighting system like Vande Bharat, fire detection system, gangways, external emergency lights, charging sockets along with mobile phone holders, etc. Push-pull technology helps in increasing its speed.

Amrit Bharat train ticket price

A journey of about 1000 km can be done by Amrit Bharat Express for about Rs 450, which makes it accessible to the general public. The national transporter has provisioned for production of 100 Amrit Bharat trains.
