JEE Main 2024: The Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) BTech, BE paper held on April 9 had a moderate paper. “In terms of order of difficulty – mathematics was moderate while chemistry was easy. Overall, this paper was of moderate level as per students,” Ramesh Batlish Head, FIITJEE Noida said while sharing student’s feedback of the first shift.
The JEE Main BTech April 2024 paper comprised three subjects – physics, chemistry and mathematics. All the subjects have two sections – 1 and 2. While section 1 had 20 multiple choice questions with single correct answers, section 2 had 10 numerical-based questions out of which only five had to be answered.
Questions covered almost all chapters of Class 11 and 12 CBSE board. The paper was of a better level than the January session, the FIITJEE expert said. The math paper was moderate with a few questions lengthy and tricky. Questions were asked from all chapters with an emphasis on calculus and algebra.
The physics paper was easy to moderate, the FIITJEE expert said, adding that a few fact-based questions from Class 12 NCERT chapters were also asked. Numerical-based questions were lengthy but easy, he added.
The chemistry paper, as per the FIITJEE expert, was easy and some fact-based questions from NCERT were asked.
