JEE Advanced Result 2024 (Out): Criteria for inclusion in common rank list (CRL)

IIT JEE Advanced Result 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras on June 9 released the result for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024. Students can check their results at the official websitejeeadv.ac.in.

This year the exam was conducted on May 26, in two shifts- Paper I from 9 am to 12 noon and Paper 2 from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. This year’s topper is Ved Lohati who scored 355 marks.

IIT JEE Advanced Result 2024: How to check score cards

Step 1- Visit the official JEE Advanced website — jeeadv.ac.in

Step 2- Under the ‘announcements’ tab, click on the score card link.

Step 3- Then enter the required credentials to login.

Step 4- Once successfully logged in, candidates will be able to check their JEE Advanced score card.

Step 5- Download and save a copy for future reference.

The JEE Advanced 2024 was conducted in online mode. The exam had two papers — Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates were given three hours to complete both papers.

A total of 1,80,200 candidates appeared in both papers 1 and 2 in JEE Advanced 2024, held on May 26. In this exam, 48,248 candidates have qualified, of which 7,964 are female candidates. Ved Lahoti of IIT Delhi zone is the top ranker in the Common Rank List (CRL). He obtained 355 out of 360 marks. Dwija Dharmeshkumar Patel of IIT Bombay zone is the top-ranked female candidate with CRL 7. She has obtained 332 out of 360 marks.

Criteria for inclusion in the common rank list (CRL)

The aggregate marks will be calculated as the sum of the marks obtained in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Candidates have to satisfy the subject-wise as well as the aggregate qualifying marks to be included in a rank list.

– Maximum aggregate marks: 360 (180 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

– Maximum marks in Mathematics: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

– Maximum marks in Physics: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

– Maximum marks in Chemistry: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

Among the 48,248 students qualifying IIT JEE Advanced this year, most are from the IIT Madras zone. While 9,480 are from the IIT Bombay zone, 10,255 are from IIT Delhi zone, 2,458 are from IIT Guwahati zone, 4,928 are from IIT Kanpur zone, 4,811 are from IIT Bhubaneshwar zone, 11,180 are from IIT Madras and 5,136 are from IIT Roorkee.

Last year, out of the total 2,50,255 eligible candidates from JEE Main, as many as 1,89,487 candidates registered for JEE Advanced 2023 examination, and 1,80,372 candidates appeared for both the papers. Out of the candidates who took the examination, the number of qualified candidates was 43,769.

Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy from the Hyderabad zone has secured AIR 1. The topper of JEE Advanced 2023 scored a total of 341 out of 360 marks. He scored 114 marks in Mathematics, 110 marks in Physics and 117 marks in Chemistry.
