The admission process against the first list will be completed on October 8, which will be the last date for candidates to make their payments. The entire admission process will be conducted online.
While the first cut-off list will be released on October 1, candidates can begin applying for admission to colleges against this list between October 4 and October 6, and colleges have to complete approvals for these admissions before October 7 evening.
Last year, the first cut-off had gone as high as 100 per cent. Lady Shri Ram College for Women offered admission to BA (H) Economics, BA (H) Political Science, and BA (H) Psychology programmes to students who got 100 per cent as their best of four subjects score.

The Delhi government-run Ambedkar University (AUD) will release its first cut-off list for undergraduate courses on October 5, officials said on Friday. The second cut-off list will be released on October 8 and the third one on October 12.

As per the schedule earlier shared by the DU, the admission process would begin online from 10 am on October 4, 2021. Students would get time till October 6, 2021, to apply for their admissions and complete the formality (fee payment, document upload) till October 8.

The default settings allow all applicants to register for all courses (without any penalties). The applicants will be eligible to take admission in all the colleges and courses provided they satisfy the cut-off of the colleges and the eligibility for the selected courses. Applicants must log in to their dashboards on the UG admission portal to choose the course and college they wish to claim admission in from the list of colleges and courses they are eligible for.
The cut-off for BA (H) Political Science soared to 100 per cent in Miranda House and Ramjas College. At Kirori Mal college, the highest cut off is at 99.75 per cent for Pol Science (H).

Jesus and Mary College (JMC) has pegged the cut-off for BA (Hons) Psychology at 100 per cent for those who do not include the subject while calculating their best of four percentage. The cut-off for students who will include the subject in their best of four subjects (BFS) marks is 99 per cent. Last year, the cut-off for Psychology (Hons) was 99.5 per cent if the subject was not included in BFS or if a student had scored less than 85 per cent in the subject, while for the others it was 98.5 per cent.

Over 2.87 lakh students have applied for Delhi University's undergraduate courses, down from 3.53 lakh applications last year, with the maximum aspirants from CBSE. Over 2.29 lakh applicants are from CBSE-affiliated schools, followed by Board of School Education Haryana (9,918), Council for the Indian School Certification Examination (9,659) and UP Board of High School and Intermediate Education (8,007).

Miranda House principal Dr Bijaylaxmi Nanda told PTI that there will not be a cent per cent cut-off for any course in the college. "We won't have 100 per cent cut-offs. The cut-offs will be slightly calibrated than last time. The cut-offs will be close to 100 but we will be realistic with them," Nanda added. She said the increase would be 0.25 per cent to 0.5 per cent in popular courses like Political Science (Hons), some combinations of BA Programme, Physics (Hons), etc.

Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) cut-offs for undergraduate admissions are likely to remain the same as last year, Principal of the college Suman Sharma told Indian Express. Last year, LSR had a 100 per cent cut-off for three undergraduate programmes in the first list.

Dr Babli Moitra Saraf, principal of Indraprastha College For Women, told PTI that students should not be in despair even if they are not able to meet the cut-offs in the first list. "The first and the second cut-offs are higher because colleges do not want to run the risk of over-admissions. The rule is that everyone within the cut-off has to be accommodated irrespective of the number of seats," she said. Some colleges said they could even keep the cut-offs at 100 per cent in order to avoid 'over-admissions' on the limited number of seats. 'We had decided on our cut-offs but we were wondering to have a re-look at the scores after seeing that a higher number of students have scored above 95 per cent. 'There are also students who have scored cent per cent marks and we might have to keep the cut-offs at 100 per cent,' Vibha Chauhan, principal of Kirori Mal College, told PTI.
The college had released its first cut-off list for undergraduate courses earlier this month, announcing the highest cut-off of 99.5 per cent for Economics (Hons) for students of Commerce and Humanities. St Stephen's College releases a separate cut-off list, which is given 85 per cent weightage, and the remaining 15 per cent to online interviews. Before the pandemic, the 15 per cent weightage was divided between a written test and an interview.
Delhi University's St Stephen's College on Thursday reopened its admission portal till October 3 for CBSE class 12 students whose results were declared on Wednesday. CBSE declared the results of compartment exams held between August 25 and September 15 on Wednesday. "Applicants whose CBSE results have been announced on September 29 may now register on the St Stephen's UG portal," notification on the college website said.
