The components adopted by CISCE for arriving at the evaluation formula are — marks percentage in class 10 board examinations, the Project and Practical Work in the subjects, the performance of the candidates in the school examinations in the subjects in classes 11 and 12, measured through their best marks obtained in the two years (referred to as raw marks) and the best performance of the school in the last six years.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' has recently tweeted the detailed document regarding the Class 12 evaluation policy.
Each school will have to internally moderate the marks to account for the school level variations in marking of students in internally conducted exams of Classes 11 and 12.
Sanyam Bhardwaj, controller of examinations, CBSE, said that students will be given a chance to take the offline exams when the situation will become conducive. This provision will only be available for those who will not be satisfied with the result.
Twitter users, which also include Class 12 students have been sharing hilarious relations regarding the CBSE's latest announcement of Class 12 evaluation policy.
'I am pretty happy with the criteria because it works quite well for me, but I don't think it makes much sense. Our subjects in 11th and 12th are different from 10th, so it's kind of weird to be taking class 10 marks in 12th. But I'm happy they aren't only taking 12th pre boards because those were really hard and we did not do too well in those. I did pretty well in 11th, but I know a lot of my friends did not do well at all. But the thing is, most of the people I know have already gotten into colleges or are relying on entrance exams, so it doesn't matter too much anyway,' said Ragini Ramanujam, 18-year-old Class 12 student, Brigade School, JP Nagar, Bangalore.
“As marks of class 11 and class 12 component will be awarded at school level, they will strictly not be comparable across schools due to the variations in the quality of question papers, the evaluation standard and processes, the mode of conduct of exams etc. Therefore, to ensure standardisation, each school will have to internally moderate the marks to account for the school level variations by using a reliable reference standard,” Sanyam Bhardwaj, controller of examinations, CBSE, told The Indian Express.
'I believe that considering the performance of class 10 and 12 is fair but taking 30 per cent of final exams of class 11 is not as it often not considered as the most serious academic year in comparison to class and 12 and might effect on the overall result,' Anant Jain, Class 12 student of Vivekanand School, D-Block, Anand Vihar, Delhi, told indianexpress.com.
The schools will have to submit the final marks to the board by July 15. A five-member result committee will be formed in each school comprising the principal as chairperson, two senior-most teachers of the school teaching Class 12, and two teachers from neighbouring senior secondary schools teaching Class 12 who will be “co-opted as external members”.
The board has announced that Class 10, 11 and 12 marks will be used to formulate the result of Class 12 students this year. But, students are not convinced with the inclusion of Class 11 marks as they feel it could hamper their result.
