CBSE Board Exams 2026 Class 10th, 12th Date Sheet Out: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the detailed examination schedule for the upcoming CBSE Board Exams 2026. This year, the Board has announced the exam time-table about five months, or 146 days before the commencement of exams.

“While the first edition will be conducted from February 17 to March 6, 2026, the second edition is scheduled from May 15 to June 1,” CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said.
CBSE 2026 datesheet draws concerns over tight gaps between key papers
According to the schedule, the CBSE Secondary School Examination 2026 (Class 10) will begin on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, and continue till March 18, 2026. Similarly, the CBSE Senior School Certificate Examination 2026 (Class 12) is scheduled to start on February 17, 2026, and conclude on April 4, 2026.
CBSE also announced that this year an estimated 45 lakh candidates are likely to appear for 204 subjects across both classes 10 and 12. This would also include schools across India and 26 countries abroad, where CBSE has affiliated schools.

The board has said that examinations for both CBSE Board class 10 and CBSE class 12 will be conducted in a single shift on exam days, starting at 10:30 am. However, candidates must note that CBSE has clarified that this is a tentative schedule for the upcoming CBSE Board exams 2026, and there may be a revision if necessary.
“As a general guideline, evaluation of answer scripts will commence approximately 10 days after the conduct of each subject’s examination and will be completed within 12 days. For instance, if the Class 12 Physics examination is scheduled for 20th February, 2026, evaluation is likely to begin on 3rd March, 2026 and conclude by 15th March, 2026,” Bhardwaj added.
As per the official notice, as a general guideline, the evaluation of answer scripts will begin approximately 10 days after the conduct of each subject’s examination and will be completed within 12 days. For instance, if the Class XII Physics examination is scheduled for 20th February 2026, the evaluation is likely to start on March 3, 2026 and conclude by March 15, 2026.
