How does CBSE evaluate mathematics Exams?
For all subjects, including Mathematics, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) follows a structured marking scheme. In Mathematics, a detailed marking scheme is designed, highlighting essential steps required to solve each question.
Certain steps, known as value points, are crucial for solving problems. Marks are awarded if students include these steps in their solution. However, if these key steps are missing, marks may be deducted, even if the final answer is correct.
