Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has ordered the suspension of Vidya Shankar Bade, in-charge joint sub-registrar at Haveli sub-registrar office, Pune, for grave violations in the registration of government-owned land at Tathawade.

The irregularity pertains to sale deed document No. 685/2025 involving 6 hectares 32 are of land in Survey No. 20, Mouje Tathawade, Taluka Mulshi. The land is under the possession of the Commissioner of Animal Husbandry and is prohibited from sale without prior government approval.

During registration, Bade failed to attach an updated or recent 7/12 extract and accepted an old one instead. Verification of the 7/12 extract valid on the registration date would have revealed the restrictive endorsement, “Prohibited from purchase-sale without prior government permission,” allowing rejection of the document.

Despite the recorded owner being deceased and no heirs entered, Bade cited technical difficulties, used the ‘skip’ option, and completed the registration without obtaining any superior’s permission. The Inspector General of Registration stated that an attempt to execute the transaction through certain irregularities is evident.

Bawankule said, “Violation of rules will be punished. There will be zero tolerance against violation or wrong doing in department.”
