The director of a firm linked to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s son, Parth Pawar, has been named in yet another First Information Report (FIR) in connection with an alleged scam involving government land in Pune’s Bopodi.

Pravina Borde, the sub-divisional officer for the Pune sub-division, lodged the FIR at Khadak police station early on Friday, naming nine people, including Digvijay Amarsinh Patil, the director of Amadea Enterprises LLP, in which Parth is a partner.

This is the second FIR against Patil in two days. The first was lodged in a case related to the sale of 40 acres of land in Koregaon Park, where property worth Rs 1,800 crore was allegedly sold to Amadea Enterprises LLP for Rs 300 crore. Although Parth has not been named as an accused in either case, the Opposition in Maharashtra has raised questions over his involvement. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday formed an inquiry committee to probe the allegations of graft and irregularities in the Pune land deal.

As per the latest FIR, the police have booked Patil, along with Pune city Tehsildar Suryakant Yewale (now suspended), Hemant Gawande (power of attorney holder on behalf of Vision Property), Rajendra Ramchandra Vidhwans, Rushikesh Madhav Vidhwans, Mangal Madhav Vidhwans—all three residents of Navi Peth in Pune—Vidyanand Avinash Puranik of Indore, Jayshree Sanjay Ekbote of Colaba in Mumbai, and Sheetal Kisanchand Tejwani.

All the accused have been booked under sections 201, 316 (2), 316 (5), 318 (4), 336 (3), 336 (4), 338, 340 (2), 6 (2) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita on charges related to public servant framing an incorrect document with intent to cause injury, cheating, breach of trust, etc.

It is alleged in the FIR that between February 12, 2024, and July 1, 2025, Yewale, while performing his duties as tehsildar, Pune city, at the Mamledar Kacheri in Shukrawar Peth, misused his powers and conspired with other accused to issue an illegal order that they have ownership of around 13 acres of land in Bopodi, belonging to the government’s agriculture department.

Koregaon Park land ‘scam’

Digvijay Patil and Sheetal Tejwani were also named as accused in the FIR lodged on Thursday for allegedly fraudulently purchasing 40 acres of land in Pune’s prime Koregaon Park area. The land was categorised as Mahar watan land—hereditary landholding where the Mahar (Scheduled Caste) community were forced to provide labour for village administration and the land was given to them—and cannot be sold without prior approval from the state government. It was alleged that the total cost of the land was Rs 1,800 crore, but it was sold illegally to the company at a mere Rs 300 crore, along with a waiver of stamp duty of Rs 5.89 crore.

Joint District Registrar Santosh Hingane filed the FIR on behalf of the inspector general of registration at the Bavdhan police station under the Pimpri Chinchwad police as the registration of the land deal took place at the sub-registrar office Haveli Number 4, which falls under its jurisdiction.

Along with Patil and Tejwani, Ravindra Taru, the now-suspended sub-registrar who registered the deal on May 20, 2025, was also booked in this case, under BNS sections 316 (5), 318 (2), 3 (5) and sections of the Maharashtra Stamp Act.

“Tejwani and Patil in collusion with each other, conspired regarding land property Survey No 88 at Mouje Mundhwa. On the 7/12 extract of this land, the name of the occupant is shown as ‘Mumbai Sarkar’. Since this land belongs to the government, prior permission from the competent authority was required for executing any sale deed of the said property. But Tejwani and Patil, in connivance with Taru, allegedly executed the sale deed of the said land without paying the stamp duty due to the government,” the FIR stated.
