The Property Tax and Collection Department has cautioned that the second-half dues—from October 2025 to March 2026—will also soon attract a similar delay penalty.

PCMC has been consistently encouraging citizens to complete their tax payments in time, supported by a citywide awareness drive launched at the beginning of the 2025–26 fiscal year. The civic body had also announced various early-payment rebates, which many property owners availed. As a result, over 4 lakh out of the 7.32 lakh assessed properties in Pimpri Chinchwad have already paid their tax, contributing Rs 639 crore between April 1 and November 16, 2025.

Crackdown on Defaulters Intensifies

To boost tax recovery, PCMC’s Property Tax Department has stepped up its enforcement measures. Notices have been issued to defaulters, and teams across all 18 zonal offices are carrying out attachment proceedings on defaulting properties as part of the ongoing recovery campaign.

“The public response to PCMC’s tax collection drive has been encouraging, yet a significant amount of dues still remains unpaid. Timely property tax payment is crucial for strengthening city infrastructure and ensuring overall development. Property owners who have not paid their dues must do so immediately. Attachment action will be taken against those who continue to remain in arrears,” said Pankaj Patil, Deputy Commissioner, PCMC
