Ajit Pawar flares up, now says ready to become CM after getting majority

On Friday, during an interview session, Pawar had said that he was ready to become the chief minister even now, rather than waiting for 2024 elections. However, then he had not said "after getting majority."

TWO days after he said he was ready to become the chief minister even now rather than waiting for 2024 assembly elections, NCP leader Ajit Pawar today clarified that if they (MVA) gets majority, he was ready to become the chief minister.

“During the course of the interview, I was asked whether I would like to become the chief minister ? I replied that if we get the majority, I would like to become the chief minister..,” Pawar tried to clarify on his earlier views while speaking to reporters in Baramati today.

On Friday, during an interview session, Pawar had said that he was ready to become the chief minister even now, rather than waiting for 2024 elections. However, then he had not said “after getting majority.”

The NCP leader flared up after a reporter sought his reaction to the remarks about chief minister’s made by a leader belonging to Eknath Shinde camp.

“I have expressed my views…I am not supposed to reply to what others say. It is their right. If someone says something, I am not supposed to react to their views. After I react, then you will again seek reaction from them on my views…This seems to be your business,” he said.
