Case against 35-40 of Sena UBT who protested Dalvi’s arrest

Meanwhile Dalvi, who was arrested by the Bhandup police on Wednesday, will spend another night behind bars as the arguments on his bail hearing took place on Thursday. The court will pronounce its order on Friday.

THE MUMBAI Police on Wednesday registered an offence against 35 – 40 persons of the Shiv Sena UBT faction that had assembled outside the Bhandup police station to protest the arrest of former mayor Datta Dalvi.
An officer said that the offence was registered under the Maharashtra Police Act as those gathered were in violation of the notice issued by the Mumbai police commissioner to not assemble in large numbers.
