Would have dealt with striking employees differently than CM,says Ramgopal

Ramgopal is often regarded as a power centre in the Samajwadi Party.

Samajwadi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Ramgopal Yadav criticised the handling of employees’ strike by his nephew and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and said he would have dealt it in another manner had he been the CM. Ramgopal is often regarded as a power centre in the Samajwadi Party (SP). His son Akshay Yadav has been fielded by the party from Firozabad.

“In our country,half the population is living below poverty line. There was no reason for going on strike in the present scenario. Their demands were baseless. They do not work even as much they draw salary. I would have adopted other means to deal with the strike had I been the CM,” Ramgopal said.

The state government employees returned to work after their 11- day strike on Saturday. ens
