Green power transmission line to be laid in Bundelkhand

For developing a Green Energy Corridor in Bundelkhand, the Cabinet on Wednesday cleared a project to lay power transmission lines of over 2,000 km and about 20 substations for evacuation of solar power from power plants that are being developed in different regions of Bundelkhand.

“Under the second phase of the Green Energy Corridor, the project for evacuation of about 4000 MW of renewable energy in Bundelkhand region has been given a go-ahead. Several solar parks are coming up in Jhansi, Lalitpur, Jalaun, Chitrakoot regions of Bundelkhand region with a total capacity to general 4000 MW of renewable energy. For evacuation of this power, Rs 4,786 crore worth project has been given Cabinet clearance,” Cabinet Minister AK Sharma said.
