A court on Monday extended till May 25 the judicial custody of Prasanna Roy, an arrested accused in connection with the school recruitment scam in the state. The accused, meanwhile, denied any money transactions with BJP national vice president Dilip Ghosh.
He made the claim when asked by mediapersons about the reported recovery of a copy of Ghosh’s house deed from his (Roy’s) apartment.
Roy was responding to questions from the media while being escorted out of a court in Kolkata on Monday.
The CBI’s seizure list claims that such a document, linked to Dilip Ghosh, was found from Roy’s flat during a search. Since then, the ruling TMC has frequently hit out at Ghosh over the issue Roy claimed that the document recovered from his flat was not the original one but a “certified copy.”
“It has nothing to do with money transactions,” he claimed.
